Comforting One’s Own Soul

Today’s color is turquoise, the incense is apricot, the invocations should be all about Peace in your heart, in your home, in your families, in your community, in your larger part of the world.  With covid running amok in our lives, and the long dark nights and short gray days, we have a great deal of extra time to be quiet, to stand outside under the stars (if there is a clear night, which is not often) and find that sweet dear spot of soul’s peace curling beneath our breast, purring like a kitten, wanting to be comforted.  Sometimes we simply need to take a break and covid has allowed us that.

At some point we need to stop being a ‘mememememe’ person and stop thinking about just ourselves, in the physical, intellectual and emotional arenas.  Our spirit is part of the ether, interconnected with The All.  Our spirit needs constant healing.  Life down here is hard.  I do not know when we stopped focusing on spirit and started focusing on religion.  Religion is a collective of collective beliefs’ systems.  At some point, if we do, indeed, believe we are part of the divine, then honor that within.  At some point we must live our own truth, heal our own truths, and heal our own nearly forgotten personal part of goodness within.

One thing we have to get rid of is our balking at forgiving others.  If we cannot forgive our self, though, this can be the root of that problem.  We do not forgive self, so cannot forgive others, for we believe there are others who have not forgiven us, for we have not forgiven ourselves, so how could they?  See how well we cycle that back around?  We have to get rid of being unforgiving, firstly for ourselves.

So, while we have this break in our way of living, and have imposed restrictions, let us use it for the best of the best… ourselves…. Our spirit… a time of all times to care and comfort and nurture our own soul. Xoxoxo
