“As soon as I saw you I knew a grand adventure was about to happen” – Milne
Bohemian women tend to hang together and friends become family to them. They crave to have their abodes decorated with ‘almost hippy dippy” with all sorts of hanging cloths, beads, bangles, lots of color, patterns and ethnic persuasions from around the world.
***When I am blogging, I am not saying “ALL Bohemian women... I am of the bohemian persuasion but you would call me a ‘ultra-light Bohemian, I suppose.
Bohemian women tend to decry conventional life, lifestyles and dress. Their favorite place to shop is second hand stores where she hopes to find something odd, old, and brightly covered.
They look for flowing materials, faded blue jeans, and white combined with bright colored anything goes. They team up plain colors with wild prints mixed in ways not usually mixed. Long dresses and vest and maxi dresses are ‘the thing’. And layering, oh, yes, layering is what BoHo is all about. You will also see lots of earth tones with fingers and hanging scarves, and layered jewelry, with earrings that do not even match.
As well, BoHo is a lifestyle full of being a free spirit, showing free emotions, finding ways to illuminate stress so that serenity and grace in a BoHo way. We tend to try to live and let live, to fill our days with things that develop our spirituality. Spirituality and daily life are one.
We refuse traditional ways of “perfectionism. Perfect is something we were born as and how we become who we are. Being authentic self is perfect. We acknowledge our flaws and love them. We correct our ‘errors’ as we find them and are quick to make right what we should because women like us want reconciliation and the peace that comes from no chaos.
Our lives are filled with developing our talents and being lifelong learners. In order to be more free and more fulfilled.
“Welcome to Bohemia—the land where no passport is required—just your own free spirit. “— Richard E. Grant
BoHo women live life to the fullest and live in the Present in order to do so. Their goal is to be Self, at any cost.
Be a little bit hippy dippy and you will begin to find yourself in bohemia. Free yourself of what you were taught and conditioned to think, that no longer serves you or your purpose. Write, paint, spin, draw, play, sculpt, whatever it takes to express that free authentic self.
