Aries – Athena

 

 

Aries, the RAM speaking to energy but in Aries case, purely Ego to be brave, bold with great passion.  So use clove as incense and paint with turquoise, or clothe your altar with turquoise. 

Since the moon is in Aries, rein in your temper and remember, Aries always forgive quickly.  There will be risks that come your way.  Be determined and make your decision not only for one’s own good, but for the good of all.  Aires will influence you to be impatient and, as well, impulsive, so consider all things coming your way with common sense. 

You will feel a need to be busy going places, and you will feel like you have the energy to do it all.  Remember the people around you and that they might not be able to keep up to you.    Aries is a fire sign so don’t burn down any bridges.  Thank goodness, the goddess Athena is the influence on Aries.

While Athena is the goddess of war, she is also a protector and reasonable.  (The Romans called her Minerva).  She is aware of the dark side of wars, but used wisdom in dealing with it all.  BTW, she is also the dark side of feminism.  I know this side well as, when I left the kids dad and went to University, I became a raving feminist and eventually had to find balance or I would always be beating some drum and band standing some indignity.  She is not overly emotional but she does have favorites and can be very compassionate. 

Athena wears armor, do we?  Today, listen for her owl.  She, also, is associated with the live tree.  I tried to show both.  She wears armor because she was going to war, leading the soldiers into battle for she was protector of cities.  What is going on in your town or city that you should be aware of and standing up for?  

She is also goddess of the arts and crafts and inventing tools for such.  It is said that she invented bridles, harnesses, rakes, plows, earthen pots and the flute, for instance.   Expect this day to be including some of those things.  

And, one more thing…expect to need to do math (Oh, no, not me.. not me..)  and to be cooking a big meal.
