Full moon Bunnies

Called the Full Worm Moon, according to the Farmer’s Almanac, the moon will reach its peak Monday, March 9 at 10:48 a.m. I was challenged to do bunnies and I wondered how this fit into Easter, and found out that the hare is connected to Aphrodite, of course.

The symbolism of the rabbit/hare is that they carry the gifts of love, abundance, vulnerability, sentiment and, of course, fertility.  And, of course, new life/new beginnings.  Rabbit is symbolically attached to the Moon and, of course, Aphrodite, who exudes problems with love at a personal level.  It is said that the rabbit will signal when you are forgetting the right kinds of love.  Self-love, which will have you feeling low, sad, unsettled, vulnerable, and depressed for nothing you can put your finger on, during this full moon.  You may come off as seeming cold, to others, right now, so check yourself that your low feelings are not misconstrued.  Aphrodite's rabbit was always about love and rabbits were given as gifts in the Spring. (The Love Hare).  Take some time to heal all aspects of love within right now.

A quick sketch and blocking in color to begin this.

It did not take long to layer the bunnies... how relaxing this was to do.

Remember the gentle softness of bunnies?  Be that!.
